A member of the Aglajidae family. Gosliner et al, describe the species as being wide spread in the Indo-Pacific region. They are dark in colour often black or a dark blue with yellow, white or orange spots with a distinctive white W-shape on the head. They can be seen crawling on the sand or sponges feeding on aceolemate and polychaete flatworms. They have sensory hairs on the head that it uses to detect prey.
