Aphelodoris varia (Abraham, 1877)

Aphelodoris varia have an elongate and oval body. They are cream in colour with a white margin. The body is covered in brown blotches and lines that vary in quantity. The mantle has short and rounded papillae that are white and/or brown.
The rhinophores sheathed, lamellate and oblique or transverse, black in colour with white edges and a white mid-line which makes them appear slightly blue in colour.

The gills are circular, retractable in a sheath. They are white with black on the inside of the branches.
