Aplysia fasciata

It is a member of the Aplysiidae family.

They are variable in colour from a dark brown to black with mottled spots across the entire body. The rhinophores are smaller with the eyes located in front of them. The oral tentacles are longer and more pronounced.

A mantle covers the gills and internal organs. Inside the mantle is a thin delicate inner shell which concave, amber in colour with a slightly hooked apex. The ink gland lies within the mantle.
