Armina sp. SC1
Armina sp. SC1
Images taken at Chowder Bay, NSW, Australia
This is an undescribed species of Armina that I have designated as sp.SC1 so that I can record it and reclassify in the future if it is ever recorded and observed scientifically.
The body is long but thin compared to other species of Armina. The body is black with longitudinal white lines that run down its length. Thick white lines have thiner white lines alternating. The rhinophores are translucent with white vertical lines and orange/pink tinted pigment towards the apices. The front if the rhinophores into the oral veil are black.
A nocturnal feeder likely feeding on sea pens.
